The senior national team of Nigeria will head into the final two games of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations needing a win to seal a spot at the tournament which has been postponed to next year.

Group leaders Nigeria will face Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe respectively in their final two games of the qualifiers, where they have won three and lost one of the four games played so far, the last of which was a 1-0 win away to Guinea Bissau.

Ahead of the game against Sierra Leone, head coach of the team Jose Peseiro won’t be having the services of Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season. The 25 year old started the game in Abuja against Guinea Bissau which Nigeria lost 0-1.

“He’s not great, he’s got a tear in his adductor muscle. It’s significant enough. I’m not going to rule him out for the rest of the season but it will be tough to get him back. Hopefully we can”, coach of the troubled EPL side Dean Smith said.

“He’s disappointed, scored two goals and was putting in good performances. Like always, it gives opportunities for others.

“It’s a blow, he came on at half-time against Man City and did ever so well. He did well in the Wolves game, scored the penalty, and his all-round displays have been really good.”

Physically Strong & Quick – Morocco U17 Coach List His Fears Ahead Of Tomorrow’s Clash Against Nigeria U17

0

The coach of the U17 team of Morocco Said Chiba has revealed his fears ahead of tomorrow’s second group game at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations against Nigeria.

Morocco currently lead the group on goal difference after a 2-0 win over South Africa in their opening game while Nigeria could only manage a 1-0 win against Zambia. Tomorrow’s clash could decide who finishes as table toppers.

Aside the battle for who will top the group, a win for any of the teams will see them seal a spot in the quarter final of the tournament, which is the qualifiers for the U17 World Cup that will take place in India. A draw will however be good enough for Morocco to stay as group leaders and a spot in the next round.

“It will be a very difficult game and so will all the matches in this group. I watched Nigeria and it is a team which is very strong physically and quick on the offensive. We definitely have to prepare and play them differently from the match against South Africa. We will try to be more organized,” Chiba said.

He added; “We have a lot of mutual respect with Nigeria and they have a really strong team. We will try to do better and balance our way of play to win this match. The target remains to get to the next round and this match will be key.”

The coach of the Nigeria U17 team Nduka Ugabde has confessed that he is afraid of their next group opponent Morocco ahead of tomorrow’s clash at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ugbade led his team to a 1-0 win over Zambia in their opening game with Divine Favour scoring the goal that decided the game in favor of Nigeria with a little over 15 minutes left to play.

Despite his team’s dominant display and the fact that a win will see them book a place in the quarter final , the coach said he has fears over facing Morocco because of their tactical nature but insists that his team will go all out for a win.

“It is going to be a very tough match and I must admit that I am very afraid of Morocco myself. But, we are going for just three things; win, win win,” Ugbade said in Tuesday’s press conference, as he previewed the duel against the Atlas Cubs.

The Maghreb country leads Group B with three points and two goals from their 2-0 victory over South Africa on Match Day One, while the Golden Eaglets are second also with three points, but with only a goal following their opening day 1-0 win over Zambia.

Whoever wins the duel on Wednesday will affirm their place in the last eight and Ugbade says he wants this to be his side.

“Morocco is a very good tactical side. I watched a bit of their match against South Africa and I was impressed with how they played. They defend very well and are tactically disciplined and very compact. We are going to see a very big tactical battle,” said the coach.

Nigeria U20 Coach Bosso Unhappy With Conduct Of European Teams On Releasing Players For U20 World Cup

0

Coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso has voiced his unhappiness at the conduct of European teams in the aspect of releasing their players to be a part of the U20 World Cup in Argentina, OGN reports.

Bosso who said he has around 11 foreign based players in his 55 man provisional list said for now he is only sure of four players beating the deadline for arrival ahead of the naming of his team for the World Cup.

He said aside the Bulgaria based duo of Tochukwu Nnadi and Michael Umeh, Victor Eletu of AC Milan and Abel Ogwuche are the two others he can say will be in the camp before the deadline for submission of the final list of 21 players.

” Deadline is around eight day time. For now I am sure of four players, the boys from Bulgaria and Eletu as well as my boy Ogwuche. The others I hope to assess before my final list of players. It has been a frustrating experience delaying with these European teams. Their conduct is making me unhappy”, he told OGN.

” I have sent out invitations to almost 25 teams since I started building this team and only around 10 have been polite enough to discuss on having a mutual stand. People really don’t understand and I don’t pay attention to what they say. My stand still remains that I won’t take a player that I can’t vouch for his mental and physical state to a tournament. Especially if that player haven’t worked with me before”, he rounded up saying.

Tips to Identify the Right Online Sports Betting Platform

0

Although betting has been around for a long time, the introduction of internet-based platforms has resulted in a significant rise in sports betting activities. The current technological age has made sports betting simpler and more accessible. Today, online sports betting is more than just gambling. It is one of the fields that show rapid growth in the gambling industry.

The ever-ballooning number of providers like UFABET has always created a competitive marketplace for players to enjoy a great range of sporting games. However, with vast options online, choosing the most appropriate platform may not be a straightforward process. It may not be easy to single out the safest platform that comes with the best competitive offers. That said and done, it is good enough to evaluate a few elements to help you choose the right sports bookmaker. Following are some tips to help you make an informed choice.

Favorable odds

Sports betting sites have varying odds-on sporting events. It is therefore essential to pay attention to the quality of the odds. Choosing any sports betting platform with too low odds to wager on is unlikely to be a smart move. It is important to compare the odds offered for the same match with different bookmakers and go for the one that will give you a competitive advantage.

Secure payment methods

Nothing disappoints more than winning a bet and only realizing that you are not able to withdraw your winnings. A secure payment option is an essential factor to consider when selecting an online bookie. Checking to ensure that the site uses SSL and HTTPS is the first step in ensuring you avoid falling prey to any scams and frauds. Be sure to analyze the various payment and banking alternatives available and make appropriate decisions. You also need to find out the deposit and withdrawal limits attached to each site.

Reviews from previous users

With hundreds of online bookies available on the internet, it is difficult to know which site offers the best service. The truth is that some of these sites are out to defraud individuals. Many players fall prey to these sites, especially newbies. Reading customer reviews left by past customers is the best way to learn about the site you intend to sign up for. It is also the right way to check the reliability of such a platform since you are provided with a far better grasp of the advantages and disadvantages of the site you are contemplating using.

Easy to navigate

Nothing increases the user experience in sports betting more than choosing a site that you find easy to navigate. You need to feel comfortable with a unique experience when betting online. If you find yourself spending more time looking for something, this could be a red flag. You better start looking for another platform. Selecting an easy-to-use website will make it possible to navigate easily and place quick wagers or bet on live events.

Conclusion

With so many online sports betting platforms, choosing the most appropriate platform may be as easy as it appears. Therefore, it is critical to thoroughly evaluate the site you intend to use before signing up. Choosing the right platform like the UFA website (เว็บ UFA) is the first step to a great betting experience. Remember to use the above factors next time you want to make a safe choice.

Head coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso will make public his list of players for the tournament on the 10th of April, with the team expected to depart Nigeria on the 17th of May for Argentina.

In an exclusive chat with OGN, Bosso confirmed that AC Milan midfielder Victor Eletu will be in the camp of the team on the 3rd of May alongside five other foreign based players invited for the tournament.

” Eletu will be with us on the 3rd, we will also have Tochukwu Nnadi, Michael Umeh, Abel Ogwuche and Michael Ologo. By next week we should have all of them in camp for the start of the final lap of preparations”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

In a related development, the coach appears to have ended his pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro following difficulties in securing his release from the Italian side. They said they are only willing to let him leave on the 16th of May.

Sources close to Bosso said, the coach instructed the secretary to communicate his decision of not accepting the proposed by Inter for his resumption hence will leave him out of the team. His decision is also backed by the fact that team’s mercurial midfielder Daniel Daga is back to full fitness. He has even played in their last two friendly games.

For now the team don’t seem to have shortage of options in the midfield with the return of Daga and the presence of the midfielders who were at the U20 AFCON and the expected arrival of Nnadi and Eletu.
