Too Much Men At U20 AFCON – Egyptian Journalist Laments Age Cheats, Thumbs Up Nigeria

0

The ongoing CAF U20 Cup of Nations will reach the final group games tomorrow when the group that has the host play their last round of games ahead of the start of the knock out round of games.

All 12 teams have taken turn to play their games and at the moment the ones who are in with a chance of picking the four tickets available from the tournament to be a part of the U20 World Cup have started to emerge.

Aside the battle for a ticket to be at the World Cup, potential stars have also been noticed by scouts and agents after the games. Players development is the primary aim of the tournament. However some teams aren’t keen on using the tournament to groom budding stars.

Egyptian journalist Mahmoud Sa’id who has been covering the games has expressed his disappointment with the menace of age cheats alleging that around 75% of players at the tournament are way above the age limit.

” Look my friend, I have seen more men than boys at this tournament. I mean this is supposed to be a tournament for boys but some countries want to win at all cost and brought players who are way above the age limit”, he told OGN.

” CAF should do more in this regard. I saw the Nigerian team and I must say you people have conscience because the team is very young. A lot of us in Egypt wanted to see if it’s the same old thing we have heard about Nigeria but we saw a very young team. This is positive”, he rounded up saying.

6 Reasons NFL Football Is World’s Greatest Sport

0

Football is often hailed as the world’s greatest sport, and with good reason. It is a captivating combination of strategy and athleticism, with a broad appeal that extends to almost every corner of the globe. From professional football leagues in Europe, Asia, and Africa to its prominence on American television sets around the country, NFL football stands out as one of the most beloved sports worldwide. Here are six reasons why NFL football is the world’s greatest sport. If you are a fan of this sport, you can make watching it more exciting on Betting Kenya blog.

1. Strategy

NFL football is an immensely strategic game. The players must think quickly on their feet and make split-second decisions that can have a major impact on the outcome of each play. Coaches must develop complex plays and schemes tailored to their opponent’s weaknesses, often in order to maintain a slim lead or even overcome a sizable deficit. This depth of strategy creates an engaging viewing experience that keeps fans coming back for more.

2. Athletic Excellence

The level of athleticism displayed by NFL players is nothing short of astonishing. Players need to be able to quickly get into position when defending against an opposing team’s offense or setting up for an offensive drive downfield—all while making it look effortless. The athletes who participate in the sport exhibit excellent conditioning and strength in order to compete at this high level of competition week after week.

3. Teamwork

Successful teams are built upon strong teamwork, something that NFL football takes very seriously. Players must trust one another and work together in order to accomplish their shared goal: victory on the field each week. This sense of collaboration among teammates helps foster camaraderie among them as well as builds loyalty among fans who can identify with what their team stands for beyond simply playing football well—a sense of purpose unifying those involved both on and off the field alike.

4. Global Appeal

NFL football has become increasingly popular around the world over recent years due to its entertaining style of play and its emphasis on teamwork both on and off the field. With international stars such as Tom Brady from England, Mohamed Sanu from Ghana, and Ndamukong Suh from Cameroon now performing at peak levels in America’s premier league (the National Football League), more people worldwide than ever before have been exposed to professional American football—furthering its presence across global markets today than ever before!

5 . Adversity Overcome

NFL football is full of stories about overcoming adversity – whether it be through personal achievement or success achieved by entire teams working together towards common goals under difficult circumstances; these stories help remind us all why we love this great game so much! From Kurt Warner’s improbable journey from grocery store stock boy to Super Bowl MVP; or how Pete Carroll led his Seattle Seahawks team back from a 10 point 4th quarter deficit against Tom Brady’s New England Patriots in 2014 – these stories inspire us all no matter our background or identity!

6. Live Viewing Experience

One of the greatest aspects of NFL football is the incredible atmosphere generated by watching a live game in person. Being surrounded by thousands of other passionate fans creates an unforgettable experience that many can only hope to witness at least once in their lifetime. The feeling you get when your team scores a touchdown or makes a big play on defense can only be felt with the roar of the stadium crowd behind you. It’s something that every fan should experience if they have the opportunity!

Ultimately, NFL Football stands out above other sports because it appeals both strategically-minded viewers who appreciate its complexity as well as non-sports fans who enjoy watching athletic excellence unfold before their eyes each Sunday afternoon during fall season playoffs throughout North America (and increasingly abroad). Through athletes exhibiting spectacular physical aptitude while relying upon teamwork skills outside what typically comes natural for many individuals – this game truly transcends boundaries between nations by showcasing humanity at its finest – inspiring generation after generation worldwide!

He Is Such A Class Act In Defence – Ex Super Eagles Star Efe Ambrose Praise Nigeria U20 Defender At U20 AFCON

0
Former Nigeria international Efe Ambrose has picked out the one player he thinks has been the standout defender for Nigeria at center back in the ongoing Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Yesterday Nigeria secured a 1-0 win over the host bouncing back from the 0-1 defeat they suffered against Senegal in their opening game of the tournament. Nigeria’s lone goal was scored by left full back Solomon Agbalaka.

The team are campaigning in the tournament which is the qualifiers for the U20 World Cup and Ambrose who also played for Nigeria U20 in 2009 under the same coach Ladan Bosso has picked out one player he admires a lot in the team.

” I think they have very good players but as a team they haven’t found their rhythm. As defender my focus is always on the area when I watch teams play and so far there is that number 12 (Benjamin Fredrick) who has caught my eyes”, he told OGN.

” The timing of his tackles, ball distribution and also the way he wins aerial duels is very modern. I see him as a class act in the defence particularly at center back. The full backs are also good but they need to do more going forward”, he stated.

On the coach of the team, Ambrose said he is alarmed that Nigerians are still doubting his abilities at this level which he said needs no much talks as he has shown over the years that he is capable to deliver at this stage.

” Bosso is a wonderful coach for young players. I played under him for two years. You don’t know what it takes to handle these players, it requires a lot of patience, faith and experience. One bad decision or comment can ruin players at this stage. It’s critical and that is why Bosso’s role can’t be handled by any other coach”, he concluded.

His father Abbey Adeyemi however said few years ago, when he was around ten years old he met then coach of the senior national team of Nigeria and told him how optimistic he was that his son will play for Nigeria in the future.

” My son plays for Germany but he was educated in the Nigerian way and I make sure he stays connected with his roots by visiting Nigeria since he was a kid. I was so sure that he will be a top star that I told the Nigerian coach Keshi back then when he was around 9-10 years old that I have a son who will in the future fly the color of Nigeria”, he said in an interview monitored by OGN.

His dream won’t be a reality as the 21 year old is no longer eligible for selection for Nigeria after representing Germany at the World Cup. He has however put Nigeria on the map when he said the local meal fufu is responsible for the speed with which he plays.

U20 AFCON – Egypt 0-1 Nigeria; How Flying Eagles Players Rated In Big Win, Anigboso MOTM, Fredrick Stars

0

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria restored their world cup ambition with an emphatic one nil win over host nation, Egypt.

In what was a tension soaked match, both teams  appeared not willing to taking risk leading to the first half ending in 0-0. In the second half it became more open with chances at both ends with the hope of breaking the deadlock.

Nigeria finally got the breakthrough when left full back Solomon Agbalaka powered home a header from a well taken corner kick by Aminu Mohammed in the 70th minute.

Chijioke Anigboso – The goalkeeper who was picked ahead of first choice goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu gave a huge account of himself. Made two big saves and also commanded his area really well. What a game he had….. 8.5/10.

Augustine Njoku – Full of energy and not scared of getting involved. Covered a lot of grounds and was very much settled all through the game, Should have done more offensively….. 6/10.

Solomon Agbalaka – Solid in defending and also joined the attack with ease. His bullet header ended as the winning goal of the game. A solid showing….. 7.5/10.

Benjamin Fredrick – He can do no wrong at the moment. Solid in area duels and also won all his tackles with ease. His well timed last ditch tackles twice bailed the team in tight corners. The Simoiben Academy graduate is surely among the stars of this team….. 8/10.

Daniel Bameyi- His energy level can’t be matched but wasn’t quite refined in the way he went into tackles and aerial duels. He was fortunate not to give away a penalty with a wild lunge….. 6/10.

Aminu Mohammed – Showed remarkable composure on the ball and looked to play in his teammates early. Picked up the assist with a well lofted corner kick. Had a near spectacular game in the middle….. 7/10.

Onuche Ogbelu – Can easily pass as the most busy and most creative among the Nigerian midfielders. The way he bossed the game without his regular partner Daniel Daga came as a surprise to many….. 7.5/10.

Samson Lawal – A passenger in the first half but heavily involved in the second half. Hasn’t quite lived up to his showing at the WAFU B championship. Not one of his best games….. 6/10.

Mohammed Beji – Indecision made him look lost when he was presented with two chances to have a shot at goal. Improved a lot in the second half and almost scored from range. Can do a lot better though….. 6.5/10.

Haliru Sarki – Not the same player he way in preparation for this tournament. Wasteful in possession and guilty of trying to do too much. Not one of his best days…. 5/10.

Ayuba Francis – A willing runner and a fighter. He fought for every ball in the box making him drift away from where he can be a threat. As the arrowhead of the attack he didn’t get involved enough to be a goal threat….. 6/10.

Substitutes:

Adams Olamilekan – Made his presence known with his all round approach keeping the Egyptian defence busy. A better outing than in the first game….. 6/10

Jude Sunday – Ran at his markers with pace and did a lot of job defensively. He however still hasn’t hit the height that is expected of him…. 6/10

Nicholas Jonathan – Didn’t get involved enough to earn a rating.

Abel Ogwuche – He made two powerful headers to halt a potential counter attack from Egypt. Not enough to earn a rating.

“I’m only focused on Napoli, they have the last word. At the end of the year we’ll see what happens, but it’s not up to me. It is up to the company. We just want to try and win every match, but we have to work hard”, he rounded up saying.
