Agent Reveals The Amount Teams Will Offer Before Napoli Will Consider Selling Osimhen

0

As Victor Osimhen continue to grab the headlines with his performances for Napoli this season, his future at the Serie A side has also been in the news lately.

Osimhen will have two more years to run on his deal at Napoli at the end of this season and with no report of the club having an option of extending, talks over a new deal is expected to happen in June.

Teams like Manchester United, Arsenal and PSG have all been credited with an interest in the Nigerian and are monitoring his situation, but according to his agent Roberto Calenda, his client is very settled and happy at the Estádio Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

His statement is factual with Napoli not in a hurry to let go of the 24 year old but with president Aurelio De Laurentiis insisting on not exceeding a certain salary cap. They will find it hard to hang on to the forward if he receives a mind blowing financial offer elsewhere.

Napoli will be open to doing a deal for Osimhen if an offer of €140m is lodged according to an agent who was quoted by Italian news outlet II Mattino. “What an auction, everyone is crazy about Osimhen: Napoli values him at 140 million”, an agent was quoted as saying by the news outfit.

Yesterday he was however unable to rescue Napoli from crashing out of the Coppa Italia as they were beaten 4-5 on penalties by fellow Serie A side Cremonense. He was introduced in the second half of the game which ended 2-2 after extra time.

Head coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso has pruned down the number of players in the camp of the team as preparations for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations hots up, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Bosso has been running the rule on several players for the past two weeks and every week , trims down the number in his camp who are most times substituted by others. The coach says his method is elimination by substitution.

The latest set of players sent packing from the camp is to make way for the expected arrival of the invited foreign based players, who will be assessed before the final list of players is made public by the end of next month.

In the camp, the team now has three goakeepers in Nathaniel Nwosu, Chijioke Aniagboso and Jimoh Saheed. Norwich City goalkeeper David Aziaya has been asked to return back to his base. His case was more of lacking in sharpness due to an unspecified ailment he picked up upon arriving the camp of the team.

In attack, the biggest casualty was NK Jarun striker Wisdom Ubani. The 19 year old was once upon a time viewed as a potential world beater but hasn’t really got going and his bid to relaunch himself with the U20 has ended in disappointment.

He was among the players, who are around 12 in number to be shown the exit door by Bosso. Their exit from the camp alongside the rest has created space for the arrival of six more players led by Abel Ogwuche of Swedish side Trelleborgs. Michael Ologo of Turkey top division side Istanbulspor is also expected this week.

West Ham United will be busy in the January transfer window as they aim to recover what hasn’t been a good two months so far in the English Premier League, where they haven’t won any of their last seven games.

Placed 18th on the log but one point away from the safety zone. Their immediate aim is to move far away from the drop zone and possibly secure a mid table finish. That desire has made strengthening their attack in this January transfer window a priority.

So far they have scored just 15 goals this season only Wolverhampton Wanderers have scored less this season with 12 goals. It has put the pressure on manager David Moyes whose future has divided the management and fan base.

They still want to support the manager in the best way possible by bringing in more firepower in attack. Nigeria international forward Terem Moffi is the preferred option to rescue their shyness in front of goal.

Already British agent Willie McKay has on behalf of the English Premier League side submitted a bid of around €30m including bonus. An amount that Lorient are opened to accepting but the player’s desire is a big hindrance.

Reports in France suggest he isn’t keen on a move away from France, and has already given his words to fellow Ligue 1 side Nice. Personal terms has already been agreed but both teams are far away from reaching an agreement on the transfer fee.

The total worth of Nice’s bid is around €15m with another €3m in add ons. The offer was outrightly rejected by Lorient who are demanding an increase in the fee. Further discussion will take place in the coming weeks.

Keep Your Invitation, I Want To Play For Croatia Not Nigeria- Osijek Super Teen Says He Snubbed Super Eagles

0

The drive of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) towards convincing players born abroad to pledge their allegiance to the senior national team of Nigeria suffered a set back recently.

Technical director of the NFF Austine Eguavoen was in England recently where he met and had talks with seven players of Nigerian descent. He was in England on the invitation of Fulham defender Tosin Adarabiyio.

Adarabiyio played for England at youth level but has now decided to switch to Nigeria. Not sooner had Eguavoen left, the head coach of the team Jose Peseiro also visited England and afterwards revealed he had talks with several Nigerian players.

Their drive however met a brick wall in Croatia according to Osijek defender Alexander Uwem. The 19 year old is born to a Croatian mother and a Nigerian father making him eligible for both countries but he has already made his choice.

Uwem said he snubbed an approach from the NFF with head coach Peseiro keen on having young players particularly in the defence of the team, where three of his favorite are approaching or already in their 30’s. Uwem somehow ruled himself out as a possible option.

“They called my manager, asked what the situation was, about the papers… – reveals the young footballer of the White and Blues.

” I haven’t received anything in writing yet. Honestly, I feel like a Croat, Croatia is my country and I want to play for Croatia one day”, he rounded up saying.
