Ladan Bosso Invites Ten Foreign Based Players To Nigeria U20 Team For U2O AFCON

0

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Ladan Bosso says the team will begin the second phase of their preparation for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations by January.

Bosso has been in camp for two weeks and so far his team has won every test game played against local teams but from next week they will step it up by playing against teams from the Nigeria Professional Football League and also the Nigeria National League (NNL).

He said that will be the final lap of their preparation with players based in Nigeria before a decision will be taken on areas where he will look abroad for players who will join the team in January. One month before the AFCON gets underway in Egypt.

In an exclusive chat with Owngoalnigeria.com, he said he has already sounded out ten players but he will no doubt trim the list pending on areas where the team is lacking or needs more options.

” If I am calling a player based abroad. I expect that player to walk into my team and make a difference, I won’t call a player from a team in Europe and keep him on the bench. I have ten names but I am waiting to see where we will need reinforcement before settling for some in the list”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

On if he is open to the idea of calling players born abroad, the coach said he won’t hesitate to pick among them if they have the quality to make the team better and also decide to play for Nigeria.

” It starts with the quality and if they can improve our team. They are Nigerians and it will be unfair to discriminate against them because of where they were born but we also have to be sure of the player’s willingness to play for Nigeria before making our move”, he remarked.

I Am A Nigerian – Free Scoring Ajax Teen Sensation Reveals

Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam are well known and regarded as one of the best when it comes to identifying and grooming talents to global stardom. As a matter of fact a lot of people believe they are top in the world in that regard.

Their model which involves intensive scouting of players from all over the world has seen them make more money from players sale than most teams in Europe. That model is now what most teams around the world is now emulating.

It was how they got Shedrach Ebite, a 16 year old striker who was signed last summer from fellow Dutch side Den Bosch and has wasted no time in making his mark at the club.

“The interest of Ajax came as a surprise. In March 2022 I was allowed to train for three days, a short internship period. This internship took a lot of getting used to for me. The first training was not normal, the pace was ten times higher. Act quickly and much smaller spaces than at FC Den Bosch”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Sheddy as he is called has caught the eyes not just with his skills, strength or goal scoring ability. His pace has been what has been pinpointed as his major assest, something which he said he inherited from his Nigerian mother who was an athlete. His father also from Nigeria was a sportsman.

“My parents were both born in Nigeria and came to the Netherlands at a young age. My mother did athletics and was a sprinter in Nigeria, hence my speed, I think.” His father was also a sportsman in their home country. “He played football in Nigeria and is really my football mentor. He used to always stand along the line and give me a lot of tips at home.”

Why We Are Now Behind In Africa – Mikel Explains How Morocco, Four Others Moved Ahead Of Super Eagles

0

The former captain of the senior national team of Nigeria John Obi Mikel says the senior national team of Nigeria has dropped down the pecking order in the list of feared team in Africa.

Nigeria missed out on the qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar losing out on away goal rule to Ghana in the playoff of the qualifiers. Mikel said the failure to qualify for the World Cup tops the decline that has been evident over the years.

” The failure to qualify for the World Cup didn’t happen by accident. It was a steady decline which started in 2019 I think and as at 2020, the team has lost the fear factor it had two years ago. People forget how good we were in 2018″, Mikel said in a video made available to OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Speaking further, he said other African countries caught up with Nigeria by employing the right coaches to tinker their national team. In his words teams like Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia, Cameroon and Egypt have now moved ahead of Nigeria within a space of four years.

” You see the kind of coaches Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Senegal and Egypt have had in the past four years. You’ll agree with me that it was intentional. Coaches who understand the team’s strength and weaknesses. Work out a quick way to get the best and here they are now”, he said.

” With all due respect to those responsible for appointment of coaches in Nigeria. We haven’t had the best for the system that is best for our players. Talent isn’t missing in the team but harnessing them for a common goal is the missing piece. Super Eagles have been left behind in Africa”, he concluded.

Top 3 Concerns When Choosing a Spot for an Event

0

Choosing a venue is crucial for planners to consider when planning any event. Choosing a location that can accommodate guests and meets your specific event needs is essential because the venue typically consumes most of the event expenditure. When selecting an appropriate location, there are numerous things to consider, and it cannot be easy to sort among the available spaces. The key criteria to consider when selecting an event venue are listed below to assist you in your arena search and locating the ideal location.

1. Location

You must carefully choose the venue for the event. That is because it will be challenging for your guests to visit the venue if it is situated in a remote place. As a result, fewer people will attend. So, whether you’re planning a small-scale performance event, a business conference, or a massive public event, you should conduct thorough research before deciding on the venue. The site should ideally be situated near the city centre in a busy neighborhood so attendees won’t have trouble finding it. Since not everyone has a car, it is advised that you pick a location accessible by public transportation. When selecting a spot for your event, consider how far it is from the bus or subway station closest to you.

2. Capacity & minimums

For several reasons, you must know the room capacities of arenas like the United Center. Firstly, ensure that the place you choose can comfortably accommodate your expected attendance. Secondly, the venue must adhere to fire and safety regulations. Ensure that the previous F&B records from the past events are following the minimum if your venue sells food or beverages and imposes a minimum food & beverage consumption amount (referred to as an F&B minimum). It indicates that you would be a great client to the venue if your estimated F&B spending is significantly more than they require. Ask whether they will provide free service in exchange for a particular amount of your money (for example, upgraded Wi-Fi or A/V support). It’s also crucial to know the requirements to accommodate changes in space or food and beverage requirements before or during your event.

3. Parking

For many people, parking is an important consideration. They require somewhere to park their car, but they aren’t eager to leave it on the sidewalk or shell out a few bucks for a day’s space. If parking is crucial to your guests, select a venue with its parking lot or garage or one where you can reserve nearby parking. In unusual circumstances, some event planners provide attendees with a valet service even though the venue doesn’t. Valets shuttle vehicles back and forth to surrounding lots; however, this option is typically only appropriate for large-scale events.

Naturally, selecting the ideal venue is a major choice and typically involves many factors, so take your time and conduct thorough research. And if you can see a venue before making a reservation, take it. If not, consult any contacts in the area or read as many online evaluations as possible. It will assist you in avoiding unsuitable locations and locating the ideal setting, like United Center, for your needs.

Nigeria U20 Team Thrash Another Football Academy 8-1 In Test Game Ahead Of U20 AFCON

0

The Nigeria U20 team of coach Ladan Bosso played  another test game as part of their preparation for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations and came out with a resounding 8-1 win over AA Zaura Academy.

Ojora Mustapha drove the ball beyond the keeper. Most teams would now be happy to defend for a while to compensate for an early goal but Zaura didn’t change their formation or tactics, and Flying Eagles took advantage.

About four minutes later Adam Olamilekan was tripped inside the box, after little contact. The silky winger had earned a penalty for Yahaya Ibrahim to score, 2-0.

Salisu Abdullahi reduced the deficit for Zaura in the 31st minute.

For Flying Eagles and Zaura the best way of defense is attack, but Flying Eagles had the luxury of being 3-1 up! After a delicious pass from Daniel Daga, Aminu Mohammed finished of the main course with a great finish.

For Zaura, this was in danger of becoming a cricket score, so what happened? They conceded another as Ayuba Francis showed predatory instinct.

An own goal from Mahmoud Mohammed made the scoreline 5-1 before Ayuba Francis bagged a brace.

Flying Eagles were playing like gods, whereas Zaura were abysmal at best. Even at half-time, no-one could quite believe their eyes at the scoreline.

For Ladan Bosso it would probably be one of the easiest team-talks he will ever make and probably the same for the Zaura manager, as whatever he would say would fall upon deaf ears.

After the break Flying Eagles played the possession game they have perfected as Zaura played a little bit better, but not much.

Substitutes Shettima Umar and Olawiyola Matthew added two more goals for Bosso’s team.

For the neutrals it was splendid to watch, for the Nigeria U20 team it was beautiful to play.

Flying Eagles XI: Nathaniel Nwosu, Augustine Njoku, Solomon Agbalaka, Benjamin Fredrick, Daniel Bamaiyi, Daniel Daga, Aminu Mohammed, Yahaya Ibrahim, Olamilekan Adam, Ojora Mustapha, Ayuba Francis

Reserves: Chijioke Aniagboso, Samson Drambi, Obinna Aha, Hassan Shuaibu, Odole Adedoyin, Tambi Nathaniel, Wilfred George, Johnson Onoha, Umar Shettima, Musa Usman, Kadiri Collins, Shodeinde Moses, Olayiwola Matthew, Okoroji Chukwudi, Sadiq Yalwa, Anas Yusuf, Bright Vincent, John Joshua, Chijioke Osuji

How to Pick the Right Betting Site

0

Choosing a good betting site that is right for you is definitely a very important step in becoming a successful sports gambler. Once you have chosen your platform, it then dictates the options you have for betting, and it can also heavily affect the way you approach spending real money online. It’s vital that you start off right and bet using the best platforms with both regular sports and esports—for the latter, you may want to see the top 3 Nigerian Dota 2 betting sites described here: https://bet9jaguide.ng/the-top-3-nigerian-dota2-betting-sites/

In any case, it’s important to choose a platform that works just right for you and also guarantees that your private data, such as your financial information, will be completely secure. You’re in luck since we have put together this article to aid you in selecting a platform that meets all the standards.

Choosing a Betting Site in 4 Simple Steps

There are various measures you can take to simplify the process of selecting such a platform. This comprises:

  • Understanding your goals
  • Analyzing other bettors’ reviews
  • Educating yourself about your options
  • Learning what not to use when betting

Let’s look at these steps in more detail below.

Understanding Your Goals

One of the first steps in selecting a suitable platform is thinking about your end goals. If you stop and realize that you’re not even sure what they are, how can you possibly choose the proper platform?

Before you start looking for a platform that’s just right, think carefully about why you started looking for one in the first place. You can learn this by asking some crucial questions, like these:

  • What sports do you think you wish to use for betting?
  • Do you have any favorite sort of wager you’d like to try?
  • Which type of payment works for you?
  • Do you think about utilizing bonuses?
  • Do you wish to begin placing live sports wagers?
  • How often are you planning to place wagers?

It will be much simpler to select a platform that’s perfect for all your needs if you know the answers to all of these questions.

Analyzing Other Bettors’ Reviews

There is just no excuse not to be reading customer evaluations for any item or service that you consider using in this day and age. Naturally, there are also a ton of player reviews readily available if you look up betting—they can help you with any platform that has caught your attention.

You don’t have to look far to find these reviews because the platforms often have testimonials, meaning you can examine what other real money bettors are saying before choosing whether or not to join.

Customers write thorough evaluations of their experiences with various online betting sites on independent review websites, which are another great location to discover consumer reviews for an online sportsbook. These are often great places to go when learning about why people liked or didn’t like certain websites, as well as why it’s best to avoid some of the options, as well as learning to spot fake bonuses.

Educating Yourself About Your Options

It’s never a bad idea to take your time and get as acquainted with them using lists of many different platforms. Afterwards, it’s just as important that you don’t simply read the reviews but actually go on the platform and attempt using it.

Spend a bit of your time on the platform and keep an eye out for stuff like:

  • Is it simple to use or comprehend the website?
  • Does it have a variety of choices for deposits and withdrawals?
  • Are incentives and promotions simple to locate?
  • Is the process of placing your bet on the platform simple or difficult?
  • Does it have any limitations that would prevent you from using it in full?

You can reduce your list by becoming aware of some specifics, such as accessible bet kinds, bonus terms, and banking methods. Then there’s this excellent feature when picking a website: what interface do you like and which one do you find user-friendly for navigating and finding the information you need.

Learning What Not To Bet On

Removing some of the available choices is the last and maybe most crucial step which is to be addressed. Now let’s look at the opposite of knowing what you seek, and that’s identifying a few deal-breakers, which is straightforward enough.

For instance, if you’re mostly interested in placing all your bets on football, you can go ahead and rule out any platform that doesn’t have it—those are rare but you get the idea. Then there are live bets: while some websites provide a ton of options for live betting, others do not.

When a platform charges you fees for whatever transactions you do, that right there is another deal-breaker for many bettors. This implies that each time you wish to change your balance by depositing or withdrawing, you end up suffering a little financial loss. While some gamblers are not bothered by this, others believe the fees mount up too rapidly and hasten how quickly you lose money.

Conclusion

There isn’t one single bookmaker that can be categorized as “the absolute best.” The simple fact is that what works great for one individual may not work for a lot of other people. It is necessary to take into account individual needs.

However, a select number of betting sites stand out as they have a lot more to offer than most of their competition.

The most anticipated move after the World Cup will no doubt be that of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo following his contract termination with Manchester United. It means he is free to join any team even before the transfer window opens in January.

Although he is focused on helping Portugal end the world cup on a high, the 37 year old is said to be mulling over an offer from Saudi Arabia side Al Nassr. The deal will reportedly see him earn in excess of $200 million in a year.

It will be the second time, they will be splashing big on a star player after the World Cup if the deal happens as four years ago, they successfully signed Ahmed Musa from Leicester City. His stay at the club can’t be termed as successful.

Musa ended up terminating his contract two years ago but he still occupies a place in the minds of close followers of the team and with Ronaldo’s impending transfer, which is widely speculated as a possibility. His name has once again hit the news.

” Musa was the first star we had in shirt number 7. I think Ronaldo will wear it when he comes. The news is e everywhere and it will be a big coup for football in Saudi Arabia. Musa wasn’t settled at All Nassr”, Nazir Mohammed, a young journalist in Saudi Arabia told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

He Is Not In Our League – NFF Rule Out Approaching Saudi Arabia Coach As Replacement For Peseiro

0

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have quickly played down suggestions that they are keen on hiring the present coach of Saudi Arabia Herve Renard for the senior national team of Nigeria.

Renard has been largely pointed at as the man to help the Super Eagles regain their place if pride in African football and with deal of present coach Jose Peseiro running out, there is every chance of the NFF looking not to renew his deal.

Peseiro has only handled the team in two competitive games and he picked up wins against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe winning 2-1 and 10-0 respectively. He has however failed to win in any of the friendly games against top teams in Africa, South America and recently Europe with the latest 0-4 thrashing against Portugal.

His current deal has less than six months to go and talks over an extension has been put on halt. Opening the possibility of the coach departing at the end of his deal early next year. Renard has been suggested as a potential target if his deal isn’t renewed.

” No, we are not looking at any coach. We have Peseiro and he has our backing. A lot of people are not comfortable with the results against the big teams we have played, but it’s a process and his renewal won’t be about those games only. There is still some time before his deal runs out”,a chieftain of the NFF told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

” You see the coach of Saudi Arabia that many are saying should be our target? He is not in our league. His present salary is around what we get in a year from the government. How can we afford him. There are coaches out there but the problem is the money isn’t what we can pay”,he concluded.
