Super Eagles Senior Players Express Concerns Over The Date Of The Friendly Game Against Costa Rica

0

Senior players of the senior national team of Nigeria are not comfortable with the November 10th date for the international friendly game against Costa Rica in San Jose.

The game was announced to the public yesterday by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as part of the two games the team will play in November, the other game will be against Portugal.

While the game against Portugal is expected to be played few days before the World Cup, that of Costa Rica will be played at a date when most of the players are still active at their clubs. The break date ahead of the World Cup agreed by FIFA with all clubs is 14th of November.

Some senior players of the team took time out to speak with OwnGoalNigeria.comon the game against Costa Rica specially on the proposed date which isn’t convenient for most of the players based abroad.

“Maybe they intend to play the game with home based players because almost every league will still be on. In England, Italy, Netherlands and maybe France where we have the bulk of our players, they have games very close to that date of the friendly game”, he said.

Another one said while it is a welcome development, they should endeavor to reach out to the representatives of the players before agreeing on dates for friendly game to forestall this kind of disagreement.

” The game is much needed because of the new coach. He needs games to pass his ideas and also try new players but it has to be convenient for all. It is why he have the senior players as our representatives. They speak with the federation and get back to us for an agreement. It’s not so hard to make it work”, he concluded.

How Dutch Immigration Laws Denied 27 Year Old Udinese Defender The Chance To Play For Nigeria

0

Udinese defender Kingsley Ehizibue has broken his silence over his international future as he settles down to life in the Italian Serie A following his move during the summer transfer window.

He joined from German side FC Cologne and so far he has made four appearances with the team keen on easing him into the set up. So far he has shown glimpses of the potential that he has.

The 27 year old is eligible to represent Nigeria, Germany and the Netherlands at international level but so far he has only one international cap to his name and it came for the Dutch U21 in 2018.

Ehizibue was however called up twice to the senior national team of Nigeria by erstwhile coach Gernot Rohr but on both occasions he couldn’t honour the call up despite his desire to play for the senior national team of Nigeria.

“Kingsley has administrative problems, Kingsley was born in Germany and then he was a refugee and he had to go to the Netherlands and he got a Dutch passport,” Rohr explained to Elegbete TV Sports last year.

“Now if he takes another passport, for example Nigerian passport, he must leave the Dutch passport. He cannot have double passports, this is the only problem.”

Explaining further Rohr said the defender is keen on playing for Nigeria but it’s impossible for him as he is registered with his Schengen passport and he will lose it if he plays for Nigeria.

“I met him in Cologne, I saw him with his agent and the boy wants to play with us but if he’s playing with us with the Nigerian passport he will lose the Schengen passport and he cannot because in his team he cannot play without the Schengen passport so this is only an administrative problem”.

Why I Failed To Get Munich Star Teen Musiala Play For Nigeria Instead Of Germany – Ex Super Eagles Coach Rohr

0

One of the most talked about young midfielder is Bayern Munich sensation Jamal Musiala. Such has been his impact that he has already played 17 games for the senior national team of Germany at the age of 19.

He decided to pledge his international future to the German team after playing for England at U17 and U21 level. He also played for them at U15 and U16, same level he played for Germany in same year which was 2018.

Born in Germany to a father of Nigerian descent and a British mother, the two national teams were not the only team who were keen on having him play for their senior team. The first to offer him senior international football was the former coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr.

According to Rohr he met Musiala during his formative years with the youth team of Bayern Munich, when he visited their €85m youth training complex, which houses their U19. He saw Musiala and made an offer to him.

” “Musiala is coming from here. Musiala I have the regret, he could also play for Nigeria but he decided to play for Germany. Wonderful player. I met him when he was 17 and spoke with his agent and his parents. Around that time he couldn’t make a decision then a year later, he became what he is now and that’s all”, Rohr explained.

Three Benefits of Betting on Cockfights Online

0

Among the most well-liked betting activities around the world has been cockfighting. Now, millions of people seated in various rooms of their homes can wager on cockfighting that is taking place elsewhere in the world. Only online betting firms that allow you to wager on cockfighting taking place elsewhere have made it possible. Many online bookmakers accept bets on cockfighting. Thailand is one of several nations worldwide where cockfighting betting is quite common. These nations are consistently mentioned as the best locations for betting on cockfighting events. If you enjoy placing bets on these types of events, it is advised that you visit online bookmakers. If you gamble sensibly, a platform like an online sabong site that offers cockfight matches to wager on can be very beneficial.

Easy to play

The first thing you will miss when you are new to cockfighting betting is tutorials. You won’t have a guide to the land-based cockfighting betting facilities. On the websites for online betting, things are very different. You’ll get thorough instructions on how to place ethical fight wagers. You will gain a lot of knowledge about cockfighting and cockfighting betting in this manner.

Large rewards are awaiting you

Direct participation in this game will only result in gaining money and entertainment, which is unique from other things. However, you might win more when you wager on cockfights in an online casino. You must win money, and you can do so when your cock triumphs in the contest. Save time and money

This is another reason many opt to wager on online cockfights on a platform like an online sabong site instead of physical ones. In a classic cockfight game, betting requires a lot of work. The first step is to locate where these cockfights occur, as everyone cannot place a wager on them because they only happen in certain parts of the world. These cockfights are very well-liked, but many people cannot attend them because they are not held close to where they live. That is fantastic for those gamers because it allows them to wager on cockfight games without going anywhere. There is no reason to exert so much effort to place a wager on a traditional cockfight when you can do so online with hardly any effort. Online gambling is, therefore, a great way to quickly and significantly increase your income.

Even picking the stronger cock in a cockfight doesn’t mean it’ll win because the outcome is frequently unpredictable. You still have to identify which cock is stronger, but sometimes you must go with your gut. Hopefully, the benefits of online cockfighting described above should help you understand the game and be motivated to play and win big.

Already an agreement has been struck with Portugal for another game just before the commencement of the World Cup. The games were lined up following the postponement of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and also the failure of the team to qualify for the World Cup.

New coach of the Nigerian team José Peseiro is yet to win any friendly game since his appointment. FIFA Ranking – Super Eagles Suffers Drop In Latest Ranking

0

The senior national team of Nigeria suffered a drop in the latest ranking of football countries released by world football governing body FIFA on its official website.

Although they are still in the top five football nations in Africa, they are no longer third but fourth in the rankings. Still below Senegal, Morocco and Tunisia and only ahead of Algeria in the top five for Africa.

In the world they are now 32nd as opposed to the last time out when they were ranked 30th in the world. However they are still ranked higher than top football countries like Russia, Algeria, Greece, Turkey, Cote D’Ivoire among others.

It means the 1-2 loss to Algeria in the only friendly game they played during the last international break didn’t quite prove costly although it is responsible for their drop in the latest ranking.

Their next game will be against the senior national team of Portugal, who are ranked 9th per the latest ranking. Brazil still remains the number one ranked nation in the world. Belgium is in second place with Argentina , France and England rounding up the top five.

Five Young Nigerian Goalkeepers In Europe Who Can Provide Solution To Super Eagles Main Issue

0

It’s no secret that the senior national team of Nigeria is currently having issues in the area of goalkeepers with the erratic nature of the two top choices Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye.

New coach Jose Peseiro also appears not to have faith in Adebayo Adeleye, the only goalkeeper who is a regular this season in Europe. He has been ever present for Hapoel Katamon.

Peseiro will no doubt which to grow his pool and that is where the need for some young Nigerian shot stopper comes into play. OwnGoalNigeria.com senior editor Mohammed Yusuf Suleiman popularly known as Mowiz draws up a list of five young Nigerian goalkeepers earning rave reviews in Europe.

Arthur Okonkwo – The 21 year old who is on loan  to League Two side Crewe Alexandra from Arsenal has already represented England at several levels but he is open to a switch of allegiance if approached. He has five clean sheets in eleven games this season.

Mark Ugbo- His rise to the first team of Danish side FC Midtjylland has been remarkable. He did it all in six months and he has now cemented his spot as first choice of the reserve team. Yet to keep goal for the first team but he has been named on the bench in the UEFA champions League qualifiers as well as in the Europa League.

“He is a calm goalkeeper who, despite his young age, looks like someone who has been in goal all his life. He is an offensive-minded goalkeeper and he has many of the basic things we want to see from our keepers”, those were the words of FC Midtjylland  goalkeepers coach Lasse Heinze while describing the 18 year old Nigerian.

Noah Atubolu – In Germany he is seen as a bigger talent than Maduka Okoye even though he is yet to keep goal in a top flight game. Such is his rating that he has already represented Germany from U16 to U21. This season at Freiburg he has excelled for the reserve team of the Bundesliga side in the third division.

He has kept four clean sheets in seven games. His determination to play for Nigeria is well documented as he met with erstwhile coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr in Germany two years ago.

Joshua Oluwayemi – He was called up to the squad of the senior national team of Nigeria for the friendly game against Mexico last year. This season he has shown in two straight games for Portsmouth that he has indeed come of age.

Firmly established as the second choice of the League one side, the former Spurs prospect has kept in two games in the EFL trophy this season. The last of which was the 5-0 thrashing of Aston Villa U23.

Owen Goodman – Still making his way up at  Crystal Palace but already seen as the next big thing by coach of the main team Patrick Viera. Goodman who is a product of a scouting exercise in Nigeria is third choice at the club. A feat which is uncommon for an 18 year old. In the Premier League 2 he has two clean sheets in seven games.

Nigeria are however facing competition for his future with Canada also said to be monitoring his progress as well.

Peseiro Inks Four New Players For Invitation Ahead Of Super Eagles Friendly Game Against Portugal

0

The head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro has already started plans for the senior national team of Nigeria international friendly game against Portugal, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

As first reported by OwnGoalNigeria.com, the game will be played in November just in time before Portugal get their world cup campaign underway. The game has been confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Peseiro will use the game to try out some new players just like he did in the games against Algeria. This time around some players who were part of the last game won’t be considered for selection but some will be given another chance.

While the duo of Saviour Godwin and Raphael Onyedika will be given another chance, the same can’t be said for Ebube Duru, the other new players handed a call up for the game. The spot of Duru is expected to go to Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel.

The right full back comes highly recommended to the coach who wants competition for Ola Aina. We also gathered that he is now open to the idea of having Blackpool of England captain Marvin Ekpiteta with doubts over the availability of William Troost Ekong.

Also there will be a first time call up under Peseiro for Udinese forward Isaac Success. He has been ever present for his team who have made a strong start to the season in Italy. He fits the profile of the role behind the striker in the coach favoured 4-4-2 system.

It also might be the time of third time lucky for Alhassan Yusuf who have been provisional invited twice but never made the final cut for the main list. The Antwerp man is still under consideration especially if he maintains the form that saw him voted as the club’s player of the month.

Ndidi debuted for the national team in 2015.
