Ekong Is “Suspect” Tops Three Takeaways From Super Eagles 2-0 Win Over Coton Sport & Training

0

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Tuesday play their first game of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations against Egypt as they aim to win a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title.

The team played have so far trained twice since arriving Cameroon and they also played a practice match against local Cameroon side Coton Sport two days ago.

Owngoalnigeria.com watched the session and also the friendly game are three things we spotted during the game and the two training sessions.

William Troost Ekong Is Suspect – Fair to say he is not in the best of form at the moment but dropping him doesn’t look like an option at the moment in the absence of his other established partner Leon Balogun.

He looks certain to start with either Chidozie Awaziem or Kenneth Omeruo as his partner per his position as vice captain and one of the leaders in the team but if form is anything to go by then he should be dropped to the bench.

Ekong didn’t look entirely comfortable against Coton Sport despite the Super Eagles convincing win. Shaky with the ball at his feet, his poor judgement and movement was also noticeable during the game. He has fared any better in training as per our count, he is the defender who has been dribbled past more than any other.

Ejuke Not Comfortable As Number 10 – CSKA Moscow winger Chidera Ejuke has been auditioning as the number ten of the Super Eagles since the start of training for the AFCON and coach Eguavoen has hinted that he could play in that role at the tournament.

However it appears to be a decision base on his ability to get past his opponent above anything else. So far he has succeeded in stamping his mark as the best in that regards but nothing by way of creativity has come off his boot. He doesn’t look quite suited for that role as his distribution has been hit and miss in training and even the practice match.

Misfiring Strikers – Interim coach of the Nigerian team Austin Eguavoen lamented the teams lack of presence when they attack by asking for more numbers in the box but that is the least of the problems they are facing in attack.

So far Taiwo Awoniyi has only impressed in shooting drills but went missing in the practice match and also yet to score in any full training session. He hasn’t shown the sharpness that has been the highlight of his game so far in the Bundesliga for Union Berlin.

Sadiq Umar hit a hattrick in training and also shows his predatory instinct in drills on finishing. The one issue is getting the team to play to his strength which is crossing of balls into the box because he is the type of striker who thrives when the supply is crisp and steady. That hasn’t been the case so far.

Chukwueze Is Third Best Player In Africa – Rohr’s Assistant Trabelsi Thumps Up Super Eagles Star

0

Former assistant coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Nabil Trabelsi say Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze is the third best player in Africa.

The duo worked together when Nabil was assisting former coach Gernot Rohr who was sacked despite helping Nigeria qualify for the World Cup play off.

Speaking ahead of the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Nabli said only the duo of Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah can be said to be better than the Nigeria international. He said he calls Chukwueze African Messi.

” Samuel is one of the best players in dribbling. I like to call him Africa’s Messi, which is the title he loves,” he told Filgoal.

“He is one of the best players in the continent after Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and the great players.

“He suffered an injury during the current season with Villarreal that kept him away from his team for a long time, but he returned again. He will come back better in the future”, he concluded.

Interim coach of the team Austine Eguavoen made as many as nine changes for the second half of the friendly encounter and handed the captain armband to the 26 year old.

Simon responded with a near faultless performance which he capped with an assist for Samuel Chukwueze for the second goal which sealed victory for the Super Eagles.

It is believed that Eguavoen sees him as one of the captains alongside the duo of Ahmed Musa who is the substantive captain and William Troost Ekong who is his deputy, Simon will play the role of third captain we gathered.

He has been a part of the Super Eagles squad since 2015 making him one of the senior players in the Nigerian team who will begin their quest to win a fourth Africa Cup of Nations with a game against Egypt on the 11th of January.

Eguavoen Demands Improvement In One Area After Super Eagles Win Over Coton Sport

0

Interim coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Austine Eguavoen has picked out the one area his team need to work on before their opening AFCON 2022 game against Egypt on the 11th of January.

Nigeria ran out 2-0 winners over Cameroon side Coton Sport in a practice match with goals from Ahmed Musa and Samuel Chukwueze handing them the win in the game where Eguavoen played two different teams.

Speaking to the NFF official channel after the game, the coach praised both teams for their ball possession and movement as winning the game is good for the confidence of the team.

“Impressive because we played two different teams. Another 11 players in the second half just to see how the team will fare in the weather conditions. I will tell you we struggled a little bit with the weather. In terms of ball possession and movement. I think we were very impressive. Winning this game is a very good thing for us”, he said.

“They did very well. It’s really difficult to compare both teams. Yes they missed couple of chances and we scored only one goal. Second group came on , missed couple of chances also and scored only one goal. So result is Nigeria 2 Coton Sport nil but like we know it’s a practice match. Nobody wants to go in full force because we have to try to play safe a little bit but however, I think I am impressed with everyone who came in”, he rounded up his explanation.

On the tactics and the way he wants the team to play, the former Super Eagles defender who won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia said the players responded well but need to work on arriving in the box, an area he hopes to fix before their opening game.

“The players did respond to my tactics but at times we didn’t because of fatigue. The ball movement is a bit faster as we require and they were doing that but as the game progress, you can see fatigue started setting in. So the ball movement became a little bit slower but the moment they recuperate. They always go out there and do exactly what we asked them to do but in front of goals we are too few.

“That is something we have to work on too. Crosses are coming well, ball possession, playing to the side which is our strength is very good but then arriving in the box with fewer player is not so good. That is something we have to work on in the coming days”, he concluded.

Baccarat Strategy – Popular Card Game in Casinos

0

The best place to start is with the baccarat strategy itself. Baccarat is a very fun game, as it is one of the few casino games where the player can control the outcome of the game. This is a great thing if you are someone who gets excited watching people play baccarat. However, if you don’t like the tight security of casinos, you will probably enjoy playing Baccarat (บาคาร่า) online. One of the things new baccarat players need to know is that they can play at home, or away from home, they need to open an account and make a minimum deposit to play.

The Baccarat Strategy Used Online

The baccarat strategy used online is the same as that used in land-based casinos. The main difference is that online casinos use numbers instead of playing head-to-head. That means that there is less human interaction and that it is possible to play baccarat wherever you want.

One of the great things about baccarat strategy is that they use a lot of math to determine the best bet and this is something that online casinos cannot compete with. Betting patterns are carefully analyzed so that the house can have an advantage over the players. The strategy is usually very simple and is usually done for the big bet. The player will place the bet in one of the three areas of the table, or simply on a specific number. Next, the house will show you a card with the possible odds of the game and the player will have to make a decision. All of this is done in the hope that the person will have a more favorable outcome.

To bet on the player, the dealer must have a positive registered possession on the cards. If the banker has a negative record on the cards, the player will win the game. All of this is done in the hope that the person will have a more favorable outcome. If the cards are negative, the person with the highest negative value will win. This is a very simple way to win at baccarat.

The Strategy

Although the strategy is very simple, the art of baccarat strategy is a bit more complicated. People who have mastered the use of the baccarat strategy in online casinos are highly educated on what it takes to win at the game.

Some of the people who have created a quality strategy to win at baccarat are the ones who created the strategy and are very familiar with what it takes to make the strategy work for them. Some of the people who are marketing the baccarat (บาคาร่า) strategy know what they are doing; they have a proven track record of people making money by understanding the strategy.

Many people think that online casinos are not good for learning the game because people are not there to help the newbie; however, experienced people will be there to help the newbie.
