Former Real Madrid assistant manager Alejandro Menéndez Garcia has joined the list of coaches pushing to replace Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr who has been told his services isn’t required anymore.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) verbally told the coach that his tenure is up but officially they haven’t communicated to him as they don’t have the funds they need to unilaterally terminate his contract as coach of the team.

Rohr’s uncertain future has opened the door for Garcia to indicate his interest in the job banking on his spell as an assistant to Jose Mourinho while he was at Real Madrid. The 55 year old also had spells at other teams in Spain.

Veteran Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana says the three players who organised the much talked about sex party which allegedly took place in the camp of the Super Eagles on the eve of the game against Cape Verde are Kelechi Iheanacho, Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem.
