Other reports in the Spanish media claimed the coach has already had talks with the representative of Kubo where he told them that he is free to leave the team in the January transfer window.

I Don’t Talk Down On My Ex Assistant, I Praise Them – Bosso Hit Back At Former Nigeria U20 Coach Uwua

0

Coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso has replied former Nigeria U20 coach Godwin Uwua who criticized his appointment as coach of the Nigerian team.

In an interview, Uwua blamed the failure of the Nigeria U20 team at the WAFU B U20 Qualifiers on Bosso terming his appointment as political and labeling him a failed coach who has won nothing in his career.

In a chat on Brila FM, Uwua said:”Bosso was an assistant coach to me in 2007 and when the team qualified for the world cup, I resigned and went to South Africa and Bosso lead the team to Canada nothing came out of it.

“Coaching is a professional job, here in Nigeria they turn it into politics they just bring somebody there.

“What is the record of Bosso as a coach in this country? I was not surprised by the result.”

Bosso who assisted Uwua in 2007 before his sacking in his reply said it is not in his character to criticize coaches who worked under him as assistants in the past because ethically it is wrong.

“ I was told of his comment but as someone who I assisted it’s not what I expect from him. Five coaches namely Salisu Yusuf, Baba Ganaru, Bala Nkiyu, Hamza Abara and Uche Okagbue have all worked as assistant to me. I praise them and give them public backing”, Bosso told Owngoalnigeria.com.

“ It is wrong for me to talk down on them or criticize them. As a trained coach it’s morally wrong to publicly rubbish your former assistants. Can’t tell why he did that but I wish him all the best”.

He further said he won’t join words with Uwua but will instead allow the conscience of the coach to judge him over the many things he said in the interview that weren’t the true picture of what happened in 2007.

“ Uwua should tell Nigerians the truth about what happened in 2007. When he was sacked not resigned as he claimed. Musa Abdullahi of blessed memory was appointed as coach not me. I took the team to the U20 World Cup as interim coach because he was sick.

“ I won’t join words with Uwua let his conscience judge him on the many things he said in the interview. He is someone I respect a lot and I think it’s better for me to leave it like that”, he concluded.

Babayaro – Super Eagles Missing Victor Moses

0

Former Super Eagles left back Celestine Babayaro says the senior national team of Nigeria isn’t the same without the services of on loan Chelsea winger Victor Moses.

He said his absence has created a void in the team and it can only be fixed by a player of his calibre which the team as it is at the moment don’t have in their ranks.

“ Moses in the past few years was the livewire of the team in big games like the Algeria and Cameroon clash respectively in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. He is a big game player something no one can presently boast of in the team”, Babayaro told Owngoalnigeria.com.

“ They miss him in games like that when he drags the team with his performance. Nothing last for ever and he has been out of the team for two years now I think but his spot hasn’t been taken by anyone in my opinion”.
