Start with what Waddibet was building as a sportsbook, with one caveat up front: the site is currently closing, so none of this is something you can actually bet on today.

When it was live, Waddibet ran a Soft2Bet-powered sportsbook covering the usual football, basketball and tennis markets with pre-match and in-play betting, the standard shape for a turnkey platform aimed at the Nigerian market.

We have to be honest about the limits of that, though.

We could not verify the depth of the book from the official site, because the official site now shows only a closure notice rather than a live sportsbook. We found no evidence of free live streaming, and no sign that Waddibet went deeper on Nigerian domestic-league coverage than its better-known rivals.

So treat the sportsbook as something that existed, not something you can use. Even a solid book is no use to a bettor when the platform behind it is going offline. For a sportsbook you can actually open and bet on, a listed bookmaker like 1xBet covers far more, verifiably.

Waddibet casino: slots and live games

The casino was arguably the stronger half of Waddibet, and it is the one part outside reviewers actually rated, but the same warning applies: this is not a casino you can play right now.

Because Waddibet runs on Soft2Bet's turnkey platform, the casino came with the kind of library that platform supplies to its operators: slots as the bulk of it, plus a live-dealer floor of blackjack, roulette and baccarat. Casino.guru, which reviews the underlying casino, rated it broadly OK, which is more than you can say for many obscure new brands.

Here is the problem, and it is the same one that runs through this whole review.

Casino.guru also flagged some unfair rules and clauses in the terms and conditions, and rated customer support only average. And whatever the library looked like, you cannot reach it: the official site is a closure notice, and a closing platform is not a place to be loading slots or sitting at a live table with real money on it.

If a deep casino is what you are after, you want one attached to an operator that is open, listed and verifiable. Waddibet, mid-shutdown and with an NLRC licence we could not confirm, is none of those things right now.

Waddibet bonuses and promotions

Now the thing a lot of people search for, the Waddibet bonus, where the honest answer is that we cannot pin a reliable number to it.

The figures do not agree. One affiliate review cites a 100% welcome bonus for new customers, up to a maximum of N100,000, with wagering of 6x the bonus at minimum odds of 1.5. Other press and affiliate materials quote a bigger offer, a 100% match up to N500,000 plus 30 free spins. We could not confirm either from the official site, which now shows only a closure notice.

When the same brand's welcome bonus is reported as both N100,000 and N500,000-plus depending on which page you land on, that inconsistency is itself a finding. It is the pattern you see when an offer is being copied around affiliate pages rather than read off a single, documented terms page.

And there is a more basic issue. With the platform closing, there may be no live bonus to claim at all, no promo code to enter and no terms published anywhere you can read them. We will not invent a figure to fill the gap.

Waddibet deposits, withdrawals and payouts

This is the section that matters most for any betting site, and with Waddibet it is the section that should stop you in your tracks.

Waddibet's own closure notice sets out how money leaves the platform now. It says you could withdraw by logging into your account until February 4, 2026, and that once the website goes offline on that date, all withdrawals must be processed through Customer Support at support@waddibet.com. In other words, the normal cashier is being switched off and replaced by an email request.

Even before the closure, the payout picture was not strong. While the site was live, affiliate reviews reported withdrawals as bank-transfer only and slower than the bigger Nigerian books like Bet9ja and SportyBet, often taking several hours to more than a day. Deposits were broader, through bank transfer, OPay and bank cards, but money came out by bank transfer alone.

Waddibet also says unused balances remain secure and that its licensing and regulatory status are unaffected. Read those carefully.

They are the operator's own claims, made in the same notice that announces the shutdown, and we could not independently verify any of them. There is no documented Waddibet payout track record to fall back on, no body of confirmed withdrawals showing it pays quickly and in full.

Here is what that means for you in plain terms.

Routing withdrawals through a support email after a site goes offline is exactly the situation where players get stuck: no self-service cashier, no dashboard, just a queue you cannot see. If you already have a balance on Waddibet, follow its instructions, put your request in writing, and keep screenshots of your balance and every reply. If you do not have an account yet, this is not a site to put fresh money into.

There is little to say here, and the gap is part of the story.

We found no evidence of a dedicated Waddibet app on iOS or Android, and with the platform now showing a closure notice rather than a working site, there is no live mobile product to assess. Any mobile betting would have been through the site itself, which is going offline.

One practical warning that matters more than usual here.

When a brand goes offline, lookalike and copycat domains tend to appear around the name, and a closing brand is a setup where phishing thrives. Be very careful about entering login or payment details on any page claiming to be Waddibet, on mobile or desktop. If you need to reach the real operator about a balance, use the support email named in the official closure notice, support@waddibet.com, rather than a link from a search result or an advert.

Support has suddenly become the most important channel Waddibet has, because it is now the only route to your money, and that is not a reassuring place to be.

Waddibet's closure notice directs all post-shutdown withdrawals to Customer Support at support@waddibet.com. Even while the site was live, the support experience was not a strong point: Casino.guru rated customer support only average. We could not verify a live chat or a Nigerian phone line from the official site, and there is no documented record of how quickly or reliably that email is answered.

If you have a balance to recover, treat this as a paper-trail exercise.

Email support@waddibet.com with your account details and the amount, keep a copy of everything you send and receive, screenshot your balance, and follow up in writing if you do not hear back. A single support email is a thin lifeline for getting paid, which is exactly why we would not add new money to this site while it is in this state.

Is Waddibet safe and legit?

This is the heart of the review, so here is the unvarnished version.

Waddibet is the rare case where the backing looks good and the situation looks bad, and the situation wins.

Start with the good, because it is real. Waddibet was launched in January 2025 under a multi-year turnkey deal between Soft2Bet, an established iGaming platform provider with more than a dozen global licences, and Channels Media Group, the Nigerian broadcaster behind Channels TV, operating locally as Channels Bet Limited. That is not an anonymous offshore outfit. Casino.guru, reviewing the platform, rated it broadly OK, with very few or no denied-payout complaints relative to its size.

Now the part that cancels most of that out.

As of mid-2026, waddibet.com/ng shows only a Notice of Website Closure. It says services are temporarily paused for a platform-optimisation exercise, that you could withdraw by logging in until February 4, 2026, and that the website goes offline on that date, after which withdrawals must go through a support email. A working bookmaker does not read like that, and strong owners do not normally take a year-old platform offline this way.

Then the licence. Waddibet repeatedly claims an NLRC licence, with affiliate sites citing licence number 00000046 and state licences in Lagos, Rivers and Kano. But neither Waddibet nor Channels Bet Limited appears on the NLRC list of approved operators we checked, so we could not confirm that claim against the regulator's own list. A licence you cannot match to the regulator is not a licence we can stand behind.

What about the operator's reassurances? Waddibet says unused customer balances are secure and that its licensing and regulatory status are unaffected by the closure. We are not calling those statements false.

But they are self-serving, made in the same breath as the shutdown announcement, and we could not verify a single one of them. Casino.guru also flagged some unfair rules and clauses in the terms and conditions, which is not what you want to read about a platform you can no longer log into normally. On a money site, unverified reassurance from a closing operator is not something to bet on.

The bottom line for trust: the pedigree is good, but pedigree does not pay withdrawals. Until Waddibet is back online as a working, NLRC-listed operator, the safe course is to keep your money out, and to recover any existing balance through its stated withdrawal process while you can.
