The Nigeria trio of defender James Okwuosa,midfielder Ugonna Uzochukwu and goalkepper Daniel Akpeyi couldn’t save their team from losing 3-1 to league leaders Bidvest Wits in the South Africa Premier League.
Okwuosa and Akpeyi were on for the entire duration of the game but Uzochukwu was substituted after with nine minutes left to play in the game.
While the victory moved the visitors to the top of the league in South Africa while Chippa stayed 9th after 13 games on 16 points.
Captain James Okwuosa has been out of the National team despite his consistent performances for the team while Akpeyi was deputy to captain Vincent Enyeama during the reign of Stephen Keshi as coach.
However since the axing of Keshi he is yet to be considered by new coach Sunday Oliseh with the coach opting for Dele Alampasu ahead of the former Warri Wolves and Heartland shot stopper.
