The hopes of AS Roma Sadiq Umar to be included in the team’s UEFA champions league rooster once it gets to the knockout stage has taken a knock.
Juan Iturbe departure to Bournemouth opened up a space for a player to be registered and the 18 year old was heavily tipped to be the one to replace him but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

If El-Sharawwy joins as expected he will be in direct competition with the 18 year old Nigerian who has five goals for Roma reserves in the UEFA youth league but the Italian’s edge will be his experience.
However they are indications that Sadiq who has two goals to his name in the League and started the team’s last two games in the league.
He is expected to start over the weekend when they tackle Hellas Verona in the Serie A after earning his manager’s praise for his performances after the AC Milan game over the weekend.
