According to reports sourced by owngoalnigeria.com, Eddy Onazi who wants out of Lazio is reportedly being chased by Newcastle United.
The claim was contained in Calcio Mercato an italian based print newspaper but it was later reported by the online edition of Football Italia amid suggestions a bid of £5.3m has already been lodged.
However the promising midfielder is also on the wishlist of Swansea City who are also willing to pay as much as Newcastle United for the defensive midfielder who has played over 100 games for the Rome based side with six goals to his name.
He also has seven assists but he has fallen down the pecking order this season finding games hard to come by just a year after renewing his deal and Lazio are reportedly willing to cash in on him.
