Nigeria national team midfielder Ifeanyi Matthew is reportedly close to joining Westerlo according to reports gathered by owngoalnigeria.com.
Representative of the Belgium top flight team reportedly met with his agent who is favourably disposed to the idea of the El-Kanemi Warriors man move to Westerlo.
However Westerlo are not the only team chasing the 19 year old as his fine performance at the Africa Nations Championship also endeared him to two unnamed teams in Belgium.

Matthew the one positive from that team played in all of their games earning rare reviews just as he did for Nigeria U-20 at the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal helping them win the championship but injury saw him make just one appearance at the World Youth Championship in New Zealand.
