In a confirmation of owngoalnigeria.com exclusive from a month ago, rising Nigeria centre back at FC Porto Chidozie Awaziem has signed a new deal at the club with a release clause of €30m according to a statement on the club official website

The Nigerian who has played in the three different ranks of FC Porto has in the last three weeks become a regular in the main team even scoring his first goal against Gil Vicente in their 2-0 victory which qualifies them for the final.

Managed by rising Nigeria agent Babawo Mohammed the 19 year old is a product of El-Kanemi juniors same academy that produced Chelsea super star John Obi Mikel.

He is one of the five Nigerians on the club’s book with Chidera Ezeh presently playing for the U-18’s, while Mikel Agu and Fidelis Irhene are currently out on loan to Club Brugge and Portimonense respectively.
