Head coach of Nigeria U-17 team Manu Garba will be in Aba, Abia State Nigeria to conduct a three day screening exercise to scout for players for his next U-17 team.
Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that the soft spoken coach will also visit Nnewi in Anambra state on his scouting mission a move a close source said is connected to his desire to do well with the U-17.
“He is in Aba already and that is his first point of call in the East as he has heard a lot about the talent base of the team” He told owngoalnigeria.com.
” Coach Manu will also visit Nnewi and Enugu all in his bid to search for players from all the nook and cranny of Nigeria, he will get to Lagos but that might be the last lap of his tour”.
The coach who lead Nigeria to the U-17 trophy in 2013 is hoping to reenact the feat after failing with the U-20 at the last World Youth Championship in New Zealand that lead to his demotion to the U-17.
