Ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON 2017 cracker against Egypt in Kaduna and later Cairo the Super Eagles of Nigeria yesterday defeated their U-23 counterparts 2-0.
Both teams are presently camped in Abuja ahead of various assignments with the U-23 perfecting strategies for their Rio 2016 Olympic friendly game against Brazil.
Yesterday evening in a light training friendly the home based Super Eagles showed their superiority by beating their U-23 counterparts by two goals to nothing with Wikki Tourist Godwin Obaje and Ifeanyi Ubah’s Bright Onyedikachi scoring the goals.
Although Chisom Chikatara was the cynosure of all eyes during the game Obaje whose form in the league since last season has caught the eyes stole the headline from the CHAN hero.
Bright Onyedikachi was a thorn in the flesh of the U-23 defence as well and his goal proved the Ifeanyi Ubah man is justifying his call up to the national team.
