Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have joined Barcelona in the race to sign AS Roma Nigerian teen Nura Abdullahi this summer.

18 year old Nura is on loan to Roma from Serie B side Spezia but Roma have the option of making the deal a permanent one and they are reports they are willing to buy him out rightly.

A minor heart defect slowed his career but he has long returned and has been posting impressive performances for the Primavera side of AS Roma which has further enhanced his ratings.

He caught the eyes of Barcelona during one of the game of the UEFA youth league and a rumoured bid of around €10m was turned down by Roma for his services.

Host of Serie A and Serie B teams wanted Nura to join them on loan during the January transfer window but Roma blocked him from moving away moreso any of such move in January will see them terminating their loan with him before he leaves for another team.

Bayern Munich we gathered were informed of his abilities by a close friend of incoming coach of the Bavarians Carlo Ancelotti who has given the green light for the club to formally launch a bid for the 18 year old.

Nura and his Nigeria compatriot at Roma Sadiq Umar are most likely to be sold by AS Roma as the man who was reportedly pivotal in the signing of the duo Walter Sabbattini is set to depart the club this summer.
