The meeting of members of the board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) with the minister for Youth,Sports and Culture just ended few minutes ago and Owngoalnigeria.com can reveal discussions were held on the issue of foreign coach for the Super Eagles.
As expected president of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick in his submission proposed the idea of a foreign coach to the sport minister Solomon Dalung who insist that foreign coach is not the answer to Nigeria’s football woes but instead a well detailed plan for coaches to succeed.
Dalung asked the NFF to make a report to fully convince him Nigeria needs a foreign coach and the plans they have in regards to the salary of the would be expatriate.
He made it clear that the ministry will support the football body but on the issue of payment of salaries to their planned foreign coach they have to source for funds to pay the coach when employed.
Board members of the NFF were also instructed to produce a more detailed technical report on why Nigeria failed to qualify for next year cup of Nations as the one they presented wasn’t detailed enough.
