The Nigeria U-17 team, the Golden Eaglet who are the champions of the world will regroup ahead of the qualifiers for the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers.

Head coach of the team,Manu Garba according to reports gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com has already drawn up a list of 40 players who are expected to be in the camp of the team from the 7th of May.

The 40 players were selected by the man who is making a return to the same level where he made name in 2013 after a failed stint with the Nigeria U-20 team in 2015 where after winning the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal, they failed to get past the first round of elimination at the U-20 World cup in New Zealand.

Manu Garba toured five Nigeria states in search of talented teen for his team with the last leg of his trip terminating in Akwa Ibom State after visiting Abia State,Enugu State, Rivers State and Kaduna State.

Outside the 40 players penciled down for camping, other uninvited players will also be allowed to try out with the team and if they impress the handlers of the team, they will be called into the team’s camp.
