Former Kaduna United forward Femi Balogun has left relegated second division Portuguese side SC Farense for Clube Desportivo das Aves popularly refereed to as CD Aves.

CD Aves announced his capture on their official website highlighting his ability to play on the right or left side of attack as a part of the reasons why they signed him.

23 year old Balogun also has experience of playing in the second division league in Portugal and will boost CD Aves chances of gaining promotion to the top division next season as he has played a total of 60 games in the division in two different spells with two goals to his name.

Balogun suffered relegation with Farense in the just concluded season after joining the club on loan in January from Ermis of Cyprus where he spent just six months following his transfer from Olhanense last summer.

Since moving to Europe in 2012 he has only played once in the top flight league in Europe when he turned out for Olhanense in the 2013/2014 season in Portugal after two seasons in the second division of Spanish football with Athletico Baleares.
