Kano Pillars according to reports are no longer keen on Sunshine Stars wantaway shot stopper Ikechukwu Ezenwa leaving FC IFeanyi Uba as the front runners for his signature in the ongoing mid season transfer window.
Pillars were initially pressing hard to snare him ahead of Ifeanyi Uba but they appear to have been contented with the form of Ibrahim Pius as back up goalkepper to David Obiazor with Yusuf Mohammed set to be heavily involved with Nigeria’s U-23s in preparation for the Olympics.
Their contentment leaves FC Ifeanyi Ubah as the clear favourite to sign the experienced shot stopper who has played second fiddle to Akande Abiodun this season at Sunshine Stars due to international commitments.
Ifeanyi Uba are yet to settle on a number one goalkepper this season with the trio of Edwin Nwakamma,Laide Okanlawon and Uche Okafor yet to fufill the demands of coach Mitcho Dubrev.
He is presently away with the Nigeria senior national team in Luxembourg where they are gearing up to take on the national team of Luxembourg in a friendly game as part of their tour of Europe which started with a friendly game against Mali which they won 1-0 on Friday.
