The poster boy of Nigeria ill fated CHAN 2016 championship, Chisom Chikatara has made it clear to the management of Abia Warriors that he is not interested in a move to any North African team.

Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that a meeting was held this morning between the player and the management team of Abia Warriors to discuss the interest from Sfaxien of Tunisia but the player bluntly told the management of the team that he has no intension of moving to any North African country.

“A meeting was held this morning and Chikatara ruled out a move to North Africa, as a matter of fact he is not interested in joining any team from that region” a source close to the player told Owngoalnigeria.com.

22 year old Chikatara popularly called the “Kolanut Boy” by followers of the Nigeria Professional Football League signed a deal with Raja Casablanca but the deal was terminated after the Moroccans fail to beat the deadline date for payment of the agreed transfer fee.

As earlier reported by Owngoalnigeria.com, he is one of the trio of Nigerian players the title challengers in Tunisia are hoping to lure this summer to bolster their attack but he has ruled out a move narrowing their options to just Mfon Udoh and Christian Pyagbara.
