The Nigeria U-20 duo of Orji Okonkwo and Kingsley Michael have verbally agreed a move to Serie A side Bologna according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com.

The duo were offered to Tottenham Hotspur by their agent Danny Shittu, a former Nigeria International who has in the past offered the childhood friends to Chelsea and Watford.

However despite a contract offer from Serie B side Spezia , the exciting duo are heading to Serie A side Bologna, with Orji due to fly out at the start of next month to conclude talks and possibly sign a deal while Kingsley will join him when he clocks 18.

The deal could however suffer some set backs with Football Academy Abuja claiming the players are their bonafide players who have already been traded off to their partners Spezia.

Owngoalnigeria.com knowledge of the issue is that the duo asked Spezia to increase their proposed salary which the Serie B side did, but still it wasn’t close to what the agent of the pair demanded.

Shittu took over the management of the duo shortly after they won the Under-17 World Cup in 2015, and only recently they were part of the Nigeria U-20 team that failed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Youth Championship after a 3-4 loss at home to Sudan.

In that vey game Orji scored a second half goal after coming on as a substitute while Michael missed out of the match day squad due to a knock picked up in training.
