Relatively unknown Nigerian forward Osayamen Osawe, continued his fine form in pre season for German second division side Kaiserslautern by netting the leveller in their 1-1 draw against French league side Metz.
Osawe goal in the 52nd minutes helped Kaiserslautern avoid defeat in their last pre season game, before the start of the league next weekend, further enhancing his reputation as a bargain buy.
Prior to yesterday’s game the 22 year old has found the back of the net three times in five pre season games including a quick fire brace in two minutes against Pfeddersheim.
The former Blackburn Rovers trainee went through three low league English side before landing at German Bundesliga 3 side Halleschen FC where he caught the eyes of Kaiserslautern with his goal scoring record of 10 in 31 games.
Strong, pacy and good in the air, he is eligible for Nigeria and England although he is yet to be capped by any of the nations.
