The League Management Company of Nigeria (LMC), the body responsible for the running of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has reinstated previously expelled Giwa FC in respect to an order from a court in Jos.
Giwa FC were expelled from the NPFL, few months ago after missing three consecutive away games in the league which according to the rules governing the league triggers an automatic expulsion.
However, they challenged their case in a the High Court in Jos, and the court has now ruled in their favour as confirmed by the LMC.
An interim order from the court in Jos, Plateau state Nigeria, also directed the LMC to reschedule matches concerning the Jos side, which the league body confirmed that the process is presently been worked out.
Furthermore, players of Giwa FC who were allowed to join other clubs on a free transfer have all been directed by the LMC to return back to the team, while clubs that signed them have been warned not to feature them.
