The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will no longer continue talks with Liverpool teen forward Sheyi Ojo about switching allegiance to Nigeria, as it appears the forward is keen on continuing his international career with England.

Ojo and Ovie Ejaria are very high on the priority list of the NFF in players they want to pledge their international future to Nigeria. While they are calm over Ejaria, Ojo’s case is much more complex.

A top official of the NFF Technical Committee revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com that talks with the 18 year old were over even before it started, due to his lack of interest.

” We contacted a family member early this year, talks were supposed to have accelerated during the off season, but nothing of note happened. He is no longer a priority, at least for now” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” He is still keen on pursuing an international career with England, which isn’t too bad judging on the fact that he has played for their various youth teams. We wish him well”.
