Leicester City Boss Explains Why Big Money Buy Ahmed Musa Didn’t Play Against Club Brugge

Claudio Ranieri has provided an explanation on why Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa was left on the bench as Leicester City defeated Club Brugge of Belgium 2-1 to maintain their perfect start in the UEFA Champions League.

Riyad Mahrez, Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy lead the line for Leicester City with Mahrez and Okazaki scoring the goals that decided the game.

Ranieri made three changes during the course of the game, but didn’t summon Musa as many would have expected, but the manager has provided an explanation as to why the Nigerian didn’t get to play.

” We have a bigger squad, but we have to make sure they are fine for the business end of the season which is around the corner’ he said.

” There are lot of games and Musa is among the set of players, who will be integral when we have to play two games within hours”,he said.
