In our final checks on the performance of players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, we bring to you the performances of Nigerian players from games in Germany, Portugal, Turkey, Slovakia and Belgium.

Leon Balogun ( Mainz 05, Germany)

Balogun was surprisingly missing from the match day squad of his team, as they fell 0-1 to Borussia Monchengladbach. No trace as to the reason why he missed the tie but he has been in and out of the team since returning back from injury after the last international break.

Oghenekaro Etebo ( CD Feirense, Portugal)

Known for his abilities to influence the outcome of games, most at times in favour of his team. The 20 year old couldn’t do much as his team crash to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of giants FC Porto.

Sunday Mba, Austin Amutu, Azubuike Okechukwu ( Yeni Malatyaspor, Turkey)

As many as three Nigerians namely Sunday Mba, Azubuike Okechukwu, and Austin Amutu started for promotion chasing second division Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor, but the trio watched on as a solitary goal from Atabey Cicek handed visiting Bandirmaspor a 1-0 win. Amutu lasted 80 minutes while Mba and Okechukwu were on for the entire duration of the game.

Moses Simon, Anderson Esiti ( Gent, Belgium)

While Rabiu Ibrahim was once again left on the bench, the Nigerian duo of Moses Simon and Anderson Esiti were both on show for Gent, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Oostende. However they were both substituted at different interval with Moses going off in the 70th minute while Esiti joined him on the bench four minutes later. Former Super Eagles forward Joseph Akpala was an unused substitute for Oostende.

Christopher Udeh, Samuel Kalu, Reuben Gabriel, Uche Nwofor ( Trencin, Slovakia)

The Nigerian quartet were all on show at different interval of Trencin’s 1-1 draw against Spartak Trnava in a league game in Slovakia.

Little known Christopher Udeh rescued Trencin from another defeat with a goal 18 minutes from full time, alongside Reuben Gabriel and Samuel Kalu they lasted the entire duration of the game, while Uche Nwofor was introduced with six minutes left to play.
