Croatian Club Istra Send Former Flying Eagles Ace Packing Six Months After Transfer


Former Nigeria U-20 left back Jamilu Collins has been released by Croatian top division side NK Istra, understands.


Collins joined the team on a full transfer from fellow Croatian side HNK Rijeka but despite making 11 appearances in the first stanza of the league, the 22 year old has been declared surplus to requirements at the club.

He has been in Croatia since 2013 when he joined Rijeka from Football Academy Abuja, and so far aside game time while out on loan, he is yet to play for the main team of Rijeka in the Portuguese league.

Istra signed him after a season on loan to second division side Sibenik but prior to that time he has also endured loan spells with Krka in Slovenia and Promorac in Croatia as well.
