Portuguese giants FC Porto have opened contract negotiations with Nigerian trialist Mustapha Buba following his impressive showing during trainings with the U-18s of the team, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
18 year old Buba is a midfielder in the mould of French midfielder Paul Pogba, a trait which earned him the nickname Paul Pogba by friends and close associates in Nigeria, where he was scouted by scouts of FC Porto for trials.
Pictures of the FC Heart product getting set for training with the Porto U-18 team was picked up by Owngoalnigeria.com editor, who also has close ties with an agent close to the nursery team of the talented attacking midfielder.
” Talks on a contract started today with Buba, although there are interest elsewhere for now FC Porto are in the driving seat but an agreement is far. Some issues still need to be sorted out before it becomes official”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com
If talks progressed as expected Buba will join six other Nigerians on the books of the club in Moses John, Chidera Ezeh, Musa Yahaya, Fidelis Irhene, Mikel Agu and Chidozie Awaziem who is the only player presently registered with the first team.
