Coach of Manchester City Pep Guardiola has given his thoughts about the future of out of favour Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho at the club.
Iheanacho has found games hard to come-by this season under Guardiola, especially this year following the arrival of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.
The Nigerian is now alternating as City’s third choice and fourth choice striker, pending on the type of squad the manager decides to pick for respective games.
His inaction has lead to talks about a summer exit from the team with Hoffeinheim in the driving seat to sign the prolific forward as first reported by this football portal, and Guardiola confirmed he could be on his way out.
“Kelechi is a young player, a killer in the box. He is strong and fast. At the end of the season we will talk about individual players and possible departures”, the manager said.
