Rohr Breaks Silence Over Exclusion Of Red Hot Onyekuru From Eagles Squad For France Camp

The decision of Gernot Rohr coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria to exclude Henry Onyekuru from his list of players for the training camp and friendly game against Corsica has generated a lot of debate.

Onyekuru has become the darling of most European teams following a whirlwind first season in the Belgium top flight, where his 20 goals in all competitions has helped modest and newly promoted side Eupen preserve their top flight status.

However the 19 year old wasn’t called up by the coach of the senior team of Nigeria due to reasons which according to one of his aides bothers on properly monitoring of the player before inviting him.

” Hello. Onyekuru is not being ignored. To the best of my knowledge the coach is monitoring him and he will get a chance soon. I’m sure”, Tunde Adelakun posted on social media in response to a question over the national team chances of the forward.
