Promising Nigerian Left Back Scores First Bundesliga Goal For Hertha Berlin


German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin consolidated their spot in the league with a 2-0 win over Darmstadt to ‎move into the Europa League places with one more round of games to go in the league.


Torunarigha son of former Shooting Stars player Ojokojo Torunarigha put Hertha Berlin two goal up in the 28th minute when he headed home Marvin Plattenhardt ‎pin point cross.

The goal was his first professional goal in the seven games he has played so far for Hertha Berlin since breaking into the team from the youth side of the German team.

Already his international future has sparked a war between Nigeria and Germany as coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has pencilled him down for talks.

The 19 year old left back is a full time youth international for Germany after starring for them in three different age grade namely U16, U18, U19 and recently for the U20s.

However he still remains eligible for Nigeria, who are hoping he will toe the line of Noah Sarenren Bazee and Leon Balogun who all pledged their allegiance to Nigeria despite the fact that they qualify to represent Germany as well.
