Revealed- Why Shehu Abdullahi Is Rohr’s Favourite Eagles Player


Anorthosis Famagusta defender Shehu Abdullahi is one of the favourite player of coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr, can reveal.


Rohr loves the former Nigeria junior international for reasons which gathered bothered on his professionalism and dedication to the laid down rules of the team.

Although he is not a regular in the team, he has not missed out on any squad named by the manager since his appointment, and he is presently one of the players named for the training camp in France later in the month.

Aside his professional attitude, his ability to play in more than three roles for the team above 70% has also helped him win over the Franco-German coach of the team in such a short time.

Shehu can play as a right back, left back, defensive midfielder and even in an offence role depending on the demands of the coach, and his work rate has further endeared him to the coach.

The only thing the coach appears to be unhappy about Shehu is the league he is playing in isn’t one of the most competitive as he presently plays in Cyprus, and Rohr believes he can and should be playing in a bigger league.
