Highly rate Nigerian teen forward Victor Osimhen has revealed the secret behind his performance in his first game for German side Wolfsburg last weekend against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Osimhen was handed his debut by coach Andries Jonker who introduced him in the 59th minute of the 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach, and gave a strong performance despite getting booked late into the game.
” I always take my bible to Stadium because it is part of me. On the way to warm up or inside the dressing room I read few verses, Faith in God gives me strength “, Osimhen said.
” It was a great feeling.it has always been my goal to become a professional footballer. I’m very happy. It was a surprise for me, but I was ready and worked hard for it. The coaches helped me a lot, but I didn’t think my debut will come this fast”.
He rounded up by saying he hope to have more game time in their next game against Hamburg, which will play a role in their quest to beat the drop to the second division in Germany “.
