Nigeria Olympic Star Usman Muhammed will be officially unveiled as a player of Barcelona on the 1st of July, however it is worthy to note that he might not be the only African player joining the Catalan this summer.
Muhammed who was ever present for Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympic will join the B team of Barcelona on a free transfer after his deal expires with Portuguese side Uniao Madeira.
He could be unveiled alongside two other African talents scouted by Barcelona during their training tour of South Africa, if they impressed during training with the B team just like Muhammed.
The duo are both South Africans named Tebogo Tlolane and Bafana Tshawe. 22 year old Tlolane is widely referred to as the “South African Messi” due to similarities in his style of player with that of the Barcelona and Argentina football icon Lionel Messi.
Alongside Tshawe they will spend two weeks with the B team of Barcelona, and if the impressed, they will be handed deals which will see them start off with the B team of the La-Liga side before hopefully progressing through the ranks to the main team.
