Kelechi Nwakali has been rated Arsenal second best loanee by highly respected online website Squawka in their rankings of the 22 players who left Arsenal on loan last season.
Nwakali spent last season on loan to Dutch second division side MVV Maastricht where he distinguished himself even though the team failed to gain promotion to the top division.
“There is much hype surrounding the Nigerian youth international and with good reason. Nwakali was a major success in the Dutch second tier with Maastricht as he dribbled past opponents with regularity and also showed some signs of improvement defensively”, a piece on their site reads.
In their ratings Squawka placed him ahead of other illustrious names like Chuba Akpom, Joel Campbell, Calum Chambers and Jack Wilshere but second behind Wojciech Szczesny.
Szczesny made 38 league appearances for Roma keeping 14 clean sheers in the process more than any other goalkeeper in the Italian Serie A last season. Which has lead to talks of a potential move to Juventus.
