Ipalibo – It has been a very tough but great season for me and the entire team. Been my first season in Europe and also a great experience with the youth team of Villarreal.

OGN – How many tournaments did you play in the recently concluded season?

Ipalibo – I played in the Copa Campeones, Copa del Rey and youth La-Liga, all tournaments I will say had their own lessons and I learnt a lot from all of the games.

OGN – How will you rate your first season with Villarreal?

Ipalibo – I didn’t play in the matches of week 1 to week 7, because I was in Nigeria for paper works, so I didn’t start playing until matches of week 8.

OGN – How many games did you missed and how many goals did you score?

Ipalibo – I played all games expect the home game against Elche which I had a knock. I scored six goals and the peak has to be the goals against Valencia and Barcelona U-18.

OGN – What are your immediate goals at Villarreal?

Ipalibo – Playing with the first team in the La-Liga is my aim. Villarreal is a big team in Spain you know. So I need to work harder, gain more experience and when it’s time. I will make the La-Liga team.

OGN -‎ Any dreams of making the national team of Nigeria anytime soon?

Ipalibo – Why not?, If I get to play games for Villarreal it’s normal for me to nurse the ambition of playing for Nigeria senior national team. The U-23 will be cool for now but there’s no crime for dreaming big, If Victor Osimhen can be playing ‎for the team, what stops me from having such dreams of playing for the Super Eagles even at the World Cup 2018 in Russia.
