The 20 year old spent last season on loan to Bologna where he struggled to get game time due to injuries and fitness issues, no thanks to his involvement with the Nigerian team at the Rio 2016 Olympics as well.
His performance in pre season for Roma has helped him win the trust of the team who have now decided to offer him fresh terms, before sending him out on loan to a team where he is sure of getting playing time.
At the moment Hellas Verona are currently lagging behind fellow Serie A side Crotone, who were the first to open talks with Roma over the possibility of signing the lanky forward on loan.
