Aaron Samuel failed to impress in CSKA Moscow 1-0 win over Young Boys of Switzerland in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualification clash in Switzerland.
Samuel who is under consideration for a return to the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of their back to back World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Cameroon was replaced 36 minutes after his introduction as a substitute.
The power playing forward had a dreadful time on the pitch following his introduction in the 54th minute of the game in place of Fedor Chalov as the Russian side push for a second goal.
However the former Guangzhou Evergrande forward didn’t have the impact the coach expected of him, and the coach had no choice than to replace him in the 90th minute as they sort to see the game out at 1-0.
Since his move to the Russian side in January, he has only found the back of the net once in 13 games, but his physical presence as reported by this portal made the Super Eagles coach to pick interest in him.
