Former Nigeria youth international Alhaji Gero scored a late goal for Swedish side Oestersunds to wrap up a 2- 0 win away to Ukrainian side Zorya in the Europa League.
Gero struck on the dot of regulation time to kill off any potential late comeback from the home side, who fell behind in the 50th minute when Saman Ghoddos opened scoring for the visitors.
The power playing forward who had a short stint for Lobi Stars, Kaduna United and Enugu Rangers before moving abroad has so far found the back of the net twice in 18 league games.
Last season the 23 year old scored just three goals from 22 top flight league games in Sweden, a poor return for a striker who represented the Nigeria U-20 team at the 2013 World Youth Championship in Turkey.
