Exclusive – Swiss FA Turn Down FC Zurich Appeal To Register Stephen Odey

Stephen Odey’s proposed move to Switzerland top division side ‎FC Zurich has suffered a major hiccup but still not enough for the move not to happen, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

As first reported by this portal, the registration of the19 year old MFM forward ‎failed to beat the close of the Transfer Matching System (TMS) on transfer deadline day.

The club appealed the decision as it was caused by poor network connectivity in Nigeria, but reports reaching Owngoalnigeria.com has it that their appeal was unsuccessful.

However the club won’t pull the plug on the deal, rather they will keep the forward with them until the transfer window opens for fresh registration of players in January.

Odey in the meantime will remain at the club, and train with the team, and also play test games for both the first team and the reserve team to help build his fitness ahead of his debut next year.
