Konyaspor of Turkey Nigerian striker Friday Eze says he is confident he will be able to score 17 goals for his team, which will help him force his way into the plans of the senior national team coach of Nigeria.
Eze opened his goal account for Konyaspor in their win over Akhisar Belediyespor last weekend, and the 24 year old who was voted the best player in Serbia two seasons ago, and also finished as top scorer same year in the league while playing for modes side Mladost Lucani is eyeing more goals.
The power playing forward who stands at an impressive height slight over six feet, says he believe he wil catch the attention of coach Gernot Rohr if he scores 17 goals this season.
” It’s not easy trying to break into the Super Eagles, because the team is currently on a high, and the new coach has kept them together for close to two years . Sadly for me those years I was in the Middle East”, Eze told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” I’m back in Europe now and after my first goal last weekend, my target is 16 more to make it 17, which I believe will be enough for me to at least catch the attention of the coach , maybe after their qualification for the World Cup”. He concluded.
