Close Door Training – Ighalo Scores Brace, Nwakaeme, Iwobi & Iheanacho On Target


‎ have received details of how the Super Eagles close door session which lasted close to two hours went down at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium yesterday.


The team had their traditional warm up session before engaging each other in a training match up between the possibles and the probables which lasted for an hour.

Team A which had players tipped to start against Zambia on Saturday ‎found themselves 2-0 down after the first half which lasted for 30 minutes, with Team B profiting from goals from Anthony Nwakaeme and Kelechi Iheanacho.

However Team A rallied back to draw level after the interval thanks to a brace from Odion Ighalo, before Alex Iwobi who was moved from Team B to A in exchange for Moses Simon scored the winner.

Ahead of tomorrow’s clash, the Super Eagles will have their final training session at the venue for the game, and even though it’s going to be behind close doors will as usual bring reports about the session.
