Victor Osimhen is keen on a loan move away from German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in order to boost his chances of going to the World Cup 2018 in Russia with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Osimhen has struggled to get games at Wolfsburg since the start of the season with just six minutes of league football to his name this season after seven games in the German Bundesliga.

New coach of Wolfsburg Martin Schmidt who replaced Andries Jonker who was fired after a poor start to the season praised the impact of Osimhen in the six minutes he played after the game against Mainz 05 which ended one all.

The 18 year old did his chances of getting regular run of games under the new manager with a goal in a recently friendly game, but he still want a loan move to a team where he will get regular games.

Already his lack of game time at Wolfsburg has cost him his place in the senior national team of Nigeria as he has been omitted from the last three call ups by coach Gernot Rohr.

A move away to a club where he is sure to get game will no doubt boost his chance of returning back to international reckoning before preparations for the World Cup hots up.
