Eagles Striker Nwakaeme Power Hapoel Be’er Sheva To Victory With First League Goal


Hapoel Be’er Sheva picked up a morale boosting 2-1 win over rivals Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli League with Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme scoring the opener.


Nwakaeme put ten man Be’er Sheva up in the 62nd minute despite the sending off of Hatem Abd Elhamed in the 20th minute, a score they later doubled when Ben Sahar struck six minutes later.

The goal by Nwakaeme was his first of the season from five league games ‎, same goal as his Nigerian counterpart at the club John Ogu who also has one goal from his deep lying midfield role.

The duo were on for the entire duration of the game which saw Be’er Sheva bring to an end the six match winning run of Maccabi Tel Aviv while Be’er Sheva extended their unbeaten run to five games.
