The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) are heading for a collision course with English Premier League side Chelsea over injured Victor Moses who has been included by Nigeria in their upcoming friendly game against Argentina.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered from sources close to Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr that Moses is among the high profile players expected to play against Argentina in a friendly game next month in Russia.
Rohr will most likely line up two different teams for Nigeria’s game against Algeria and Argentina, with fringe players expected to form the bulk of the squad for the Algeria game, while first choice players will play the Argentina tie four days later.
Although Moses is out injured after hurting his hamstring in Chelsea’s 1-2 loss to Crystal Palace two weeks ago, he is expected to be fit for the game, which will be played few days after his return to full training.
Chelsea could however block him from playing in the game as he won’t be fully fit, a move which could anger Nigeria after they promised Argentina that they will line up their top stars for the game in Krasnordar.
The true state of things will be known in the coming days when the official list of players for both games is released by coach Rohr, who wants to have a favourable result in both games.
