Why We Didn’t Terminate Enyeama’s Contract Unlike Others Not Wanted By Bielsa – Lille

Lille chief executive Marc Ingla ‎has revelaed why Vincent Enyeama is back in training with Lille despite being deemed surplus to requirements by new coach Marcelo Bielsa alongside ten others.

The former captain and goalkeeper of the Nigeria national team ‎was part of the players Bielsa axed from his first team when he resumed as coach of the team in July.

While the other ten have terminated their contracts with the club by mutual understanding, Enyeama is back in training with the club after returning from a six months injury lay off following surgery on a meniscus injury he picked up towards the end of last season.

Speaking to ‎authoritative France newspaper L’equipe Ingla explained that Enyeama is still at the club, because the 35 year old has shown a positive attitude since joining the club, and also had surgery.

” I do not have a very specific answer. Vincent (Enyeama) has a very positive attitude. He is recovering from surgery he had in April on his kneel, he is back in training now and we will take it from there”, Ingla told L’equipe.
