The goal scoring run of Emem Eduok at Turkish side Kasimpasa and Bologna’s Orji Okonkwo has caught the attention of the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr.
Eduok has scored in his last three league games for Kasimpasa, while Okonkwo has found the net in back to back games for Bologna in the Serie A, and despite playing mainly as a substitute he now has three Serie A goals.
Their form has already placed them high up on the list of options available to coach Gernot Rohr in attack, according to one of the back room staff of the senior national team of Nigeria.
” He is aware of Okonkwo and Eduok, particularly as they are forward players, an area where goal scoring is key for you to be noticed. They have been doing well and Rohr is aware of their form”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” They have to show consistency over a long period of time and hopefully they will get a chance with the Super Eagles next year. Okonkwo has really grown this season while Eduok on his own part isn’t doing baldy considering his role as a winger. They will get their chance in the team soon”.
