The proposed transfer of former Super Eagles goalkepper and captain Vincent Enyeama to Ligue 1 side Angers SCO ‎from fellow French side Lille is currently being held up by difference in his valuation by both clubs.

Angers who are struggling to stay in the French Ligue 1 have made the Nigerian a priority signing in January in their bid to move from the 19th position they presently occupy in the French Ligue 1.

However, while they are willing to have the experienced 35 year old on loan for the remaining part of the French Ligue 1 season, Lille are keen on offloading Enyeama permanently.

Lille are demanding a fee of around €800,000 to €1m for his transfer, a fee which Angers are yet to agree to, and the disagreement has lead to an impasse regarding the move.

Enyeama is among the players former coach of Lille Marcelo Bielsa axed from his squad upon taking over as coach in the summer. While other players moved away from the club, Enyeama couldn’t as he was out injured then, after undergoing surgery on his knee.

Fit again and without Bielsa at the helm, his situation at the club remained unchanged as the technical crew of the team are satisfied with the options at their disposal in the goalkeeping department.
